MLM Leadership VS. MLM Upline
How many times have you heard the terms “Leadership“ and “Team” in your lifetime? How about from your MLM upline? Myself, I have heard and used the terms countless times. My unofficial definition of a team is: a group of people consisting of individuals that take action to effectively accomplish a good result or goal as a whole. Maybe that’s not exactly how you would find it in the dictionary, but I did say it was unofficial. Nonetheless, the concept is great and can work! However, for any team to work, you must have great Leadership, not to “boss”, but to direct each of the individuals. How does this apply to MLM?
In most cases, true Leadership in MLM is nonexistent, at least by my definition. We all have heard the speech of how your upline will help and direct you. But, the direction given pretty much stops at: write a list and talk to everyone. But, what do you do when you are out of people in your circle to talk to or what if you have a hard time talking to people in the first place?
This brings me to what motivated me to write this article. I recently was introduced to an MLM Company that has an outstanding pay plan, but then again, haven’t we all? However, what is different is the Leadership. A Team within the company has been formed and is strategically led by two individuals that understand what it takes to win. The Team is TVI Presidential Group and the leaders are Sherry Dossey and Michael W. Wyrosdick. With several years of combined Business and Marketing experience, they are the driving force of this Team.
The Team was formed on Jan. 6, 2010 and has already grown to over 550 members in just 7 weeks and it’s members are producing some serious commissions. How? Their motto is: “No One Is Left Behind”, and they mean it.
The strategy is simple. Each Member does what they are good at. In other words, if one member has a harder time talking to people or explaining how it works, they find out what that member has experience in or wants to learn. If they are good at internet marketing as a whole or if they can help with a smaller portion of internet marketing or even classified ads. Whatever it may be to help the Team.
New members are then placed so that everyone advances in the order that they joined the Team. With the collective experience and energy of the Team, the Members are advancing faster than they ever could have alone. It is strategic. It is team effort. It is working!
To sum it up, every individual member helps anyway they can and works like a team after a big goal…a $10,000 bonus check, again and again. Do you still have to talk to people? Yes, absolutely, but on a team that has leadership like this and is breaking records, it empowers it’s members to tell everyone they know.
Great Leadership is where it all starts!
